Commercial Ventilation Services

Every Ventcare service is backed by our proprietary robots, CSA Z317 and NADCA-compliant verification, and more than three decades of experience serving hospitals, schools, embassies, and complex commercial facilities. Whether you are commissioning a new facility, preparing for an audit, or resolving ongoing air quality concerns, there is a program designed for your environment.

Proprietary robotic technology that reaches places traditional methods cannot, fully documented and verified to specification.

Robotic Duct Cleaning

Cleaning that meets specification, every time

Traditional duct cleaning is loud, disruptive, and often incomplete. Crews cut access holes every few feet, blast compressed air through the system, and hope the contamination ends up in a vacuum somewhere. Whole sections of ductwork stay untouched. Our process is different.

How robotic cleaning works

Our robot is driven through the ductwork by a trained operator using a remote joystick, with a turret-mounted camera that captures conditions in real time. Full-contact brushes contact all four interior surfaces simultaneously, with adjustable cleaning intensity that adapts to the duct material (gentle enough to protect acoustic lining, aggressive enough to remove caked mud or insect debris from metallic ducts). All loosened particulate is pulled into our HEPA-filtered capture unit at 99.97% efficiency.

What is cleaned

Ventcare cleans the full system, not just the ductwork... we clean supply and
return air fans, air handling units, mixing plenums, filter trays, heating and
cooling coils, reheat coils, fire dampers, diffusers, grilles, and intake louvres.
Add-ons include specialized cleaning for asbestos-impacted systems and
ductwork sealing.

OUR COMMITMENT

✓ Verified cleaning to one gram per metre squared or less

✓ A signed verification log confirming every section meets specification

✓ Digital video and photo record, before and after

✓ CSA Z317 and NADCA compliance

✓ Sector-by-sector cleaning, so heating and cooling
continue elsewhere in the building during project activity

Inspection & Testing

See what's actually happening inside your ventilation system.

Inadequate filtration, leftover building materials, insects, dust deposits, and moisture combine inside ventilation systems to create the perfect conditions for bacteria and mould. Most of it sits hidden for years, until it shows up as occupant complaints, failed audits, or compromised infection control.

A robotic inspection takes the uncertainty out of the equation. Our robot
drives through your duct system with a high-resolution video camera
that captures everything in real time and stores it in digital format for
your records. While inspecting, we collect particulate samples for
laboratory analysis to evaluate duct surfaces. Safety equipment,
including fire dampers and heat-rise detectors, is inspected at the same
time.

This is the right starting point if you are not sure whether your system
needs cleaning, have a compliance audit coming up, are responding to
occupant air quality concerns, have just added a property to your
portfolio, or suspect contamination from recent construction.

OUR COMMITMENT

✓ A complete documented report of inspection findings

✓ Digital video of the ductwork interior

✓ Laboratory analysis of particulate samples

✓ A prioritized list of recommended actions

Ventilation Monitoring Program

Compliance and air quality, documented continuously.

For healthcare facilities, and Labour Canada both expect ongoing
documentation of ventilation system status, particulate accumulation, and
indoor air quality. For other commercial buildings, management compliance
has made ongoing monitoring a growing priority. Our Ventilation Monitoring
Program (also called EWS - Early Warning System) handles that
documentation for you.

We install particulate collectors on the interior of your supply ductwork. Every six months our partnered laboratory analyzes the monitors to identify particulate type and accumulation, detect hazardous substances such as deteriorated acoustic lining, and confirm filtration is being maintained. Semi annual reporting includes indoor air quality testing and mechanical inspection of filtration components.

The annual report adds robotic video inspection at discreet points using our
robot particulate sampling and a complete review of fan units, filtration,
gasketing, and fresh air intakes. The full annual report covers system
description, sampling locations, scaling chart, all sample analysis, photo
documentation, and digital video.

OUR COMMITMENT

✓ Semi-annual changing of the particulate collectors.

✓ Early warning of contamination or filtration problems before they become operational issues

✓ Documented air quality data for occupant inquiries, audits, or insurance

✓ A long-term partner who knows your building over time

Fire Damper Inspection

The fire dampers are difficult to see.

Fire dampers sit hidden inside ductwork, expected to close automatically
when a fire breaks out and stop flames from spreading through the
ventilation system. Roughly 30% of fire dampers are not humanly accessible from traditional ceiling access points. Inspection requires robotic equipment to reach them.

Across the thousands of fire dampers we have inspected, approximately
7% are non-functional. Common deficiencies include broken fusible links,
objects propping the damper open, dampers wired permanently in the open
position, dampers installed upside down, and dampers stuck closed.

We inspect fire dampers in your system using our robot and digital bore-
scope cameras. Each damper is assigned a number that corresponds to

its location on a schematic floor plan (yours, or one we generate if
drawings are not available). The result is an interactive document: click a
damper number on the floor plan, and the corresponding photo and status
notes appear. The same labeled plan is useful when investigating low
airflow elsewhere in the building.

OUR COMMITMENT

✓ A complete inventory of every fire dampers, including those traditional methods cannot reach

✓ An interactive floor plan with current photo and status notes for each damper

✓ A prioritized list of deficiencies and recommended corrective actions

✓ Documentation for fire code compliance, insurance audits, and facility records

Ventcare's Robotic Cleaning Process

Every Ventcare project follows the same disciplined approach, refined over more than three decades of cleaning the most demanding commercial buildings in Canada and abroad.

Robotic inspection first.

Our robot drives through your ductwork before cleaning begins, capturing video and identifying exactly what needs attention.

HEPA-filtered containment.

All loosened particulate is captured at 99.97% efficiency, contained, and disposed of at approved sites. Nothing escapes into your building.

Ventcare's Robotic Cleaning Process

Adjustable cleaning intensity.

Our robot adapts to the duct material, gentle enough to protect acoustic lining, aggressive enough to remove caked debris from metallic ducts.

Documented sign-off.

Every section is verified to specification, with digital
video and a signed verification log project managers can
rely on for audits and compliance.
